Bishop School is governed by a variety of individuals and committees. The principal is the primary educational leader and facilitator of the school. Through the use of staff meetings and written communication, the principal relays necessary information to students, parents, and staff.

The principal's advisory committee is made up of the team leaders and those responsible for the school when the principal is out of the building. This committee meets on an as needed basis to provide suggestions, make decisions, and help the principal.

Two other sources of governance are the primary and intermediate teams. These teams are made up of all the teachers and support staff. These teams make decisions for their immediate grade levels, inform each other of up coming events, offer suggestions for activities, and serve as a support group for each other within the team.

The PTO is a body of individuals who help raise money for needed school items. They also support, encourage, and volunteer their time within the school environment.

The Advisory Site-Council is a committee that meets to discuss the needs of the school. This committee is comprised of Bishop staff, parents, and community leaders. This is an advisory committee and is used to help brainstorm and provide input on various methods for meeting the needs of students. The Advisory Site-Council promotes the school improvement initiative.

To help Bishop run smoothly, various committees are formed to provide leadership in service projects, social events, and special occasions. These committees can vary from year to year. The faculty of Bishop provides the leadership to ensure the successful completion of each event.
